To the west of Coral Reef City, there is a flat and wide sandy bay. It is said that pirates lurk there and rob the passerby. That’s why it is called "Pirate’s Bay".

 

The sergeant Squid of the police station was quite anxious recently because there had been several robberies, which meant that the pirates were at large. So he turned to his old partner , the inspector Octopus, for help, together they would find out the real culprit.

 

The inspector Octopus took out his notebook and began to question the informants one by one. "It really frightens me!" the Butterflyfish pouted, "Can you imagine what would you be like when a venomous jellyfish floated towards you? I was stung by a jellyfish once and it hurts me so much. So I turned around and ran, and left my goods behind."

 

"What I met was not a jellyfish," said the Clownfish, frowning, "but a lion fish! As we all know, lion fish are also poisonous, and it is doomed to be stabbed by the poisonous spines on his fin. So i throw away the package and run away quickly."

 

"None of you are as miserable as I am!" Damselfish recalled the scene and still in shock, "Suddenly a huge sea snake rushed towards me with its teeth and claws. Everyone knows that I am afraid of sea snakes most, so I was shocked on the spot. When I woke up, everything i took was taken away."

 

"That’s outrages!" The sergeant Squid said, "Jellyfish, lion fish, sea snakes...there must be several other suspects! As far as i can tell, this is a huge criminal gang crime!"

 

While recording the note, the inspector Octopus muttered: "The suspects are ferocious creatures... but no one was injured..." Suddenly, he stopped the pen in his tentacle and said to the sergeant Squid: " Why not go there to check!"

 

The sergeant Squid led a well-armed operation squad and escorted the inspector octopus to the Pirate Bay. Unlike the squad's highly concentrating, as if approaching the enemies, the inspector Octopus looked very relaxed. While humming a crappy tune, he carefully probed every corner of the Pirate Bay.

 

Suddenly, a figure appeared, and the squad's hold their guns.

 

"Don't... don't shoot, I'm a good man!" It turned out to be a “flatfish” lying on the bottom of the sea.

 

"Go away, don't wander around here!" The sergeant Squid said impatiently, "There are pirates here. We are here to find them. Leave now!"

 

"Wait a minute!" the “flatfish” was about to leave, the inspector Octopus stopped him. "I think we have found the pirate."

 

"Who? The flatfish?" The sergeant Squid asked doubtfully.

 

"No, it can’t be a flatfish," the inspector Octopus pointed to the "flatfish"firmly and said, "Although you and I are from one family, you violated the law, so i need to arrest you."

 

The "flatfish" slowly began to deform, and its flat body became rounded, showing eight antennas. It turned out that this is a Pacific mimicry octopus. He is good at mimicry and camouflage, and can imitate various marine creatures.

 

The case of the pirate gang’s  robbery was finally closed. Since then, the Pirate Bay became safe and sound, and the citizens of Coral Reef City are no longer afraid anymore.
